SPA Etiquette

The rules you might feel uncomfortable to inquire about that are worth knowing and advisable to follow when visiting the SPA centre at the GRADIALI medical SPA hotel.

  1. We kindly ask you to arrive 10-15 minutes before the scheduled time of your SPA treatment so you can check in, relax and enjoy the SPA atmosphere. Late arrivals can cause a shortened treatment time.
  2. The time scheduled for your treatment also includes the time for preparation for the treatment, therefore, we kindly ask you to arrive on time.
  3. To select a treatment, consult our SPA staff who will help you make the right choice.
  4. When reserving a time for a treatment, inform us of your wishes regarding a visit to the desired specialist, if any.
  5. Be sure to let us know if you are pregnant or breast-feeding, which will enable us to select a treatment suitable to you.
  6. We kindly ask you to inform us about any health problems, medications you take, allergies, injuries, recent surgeries and injections. These factors may influence the selection or performance of spa treatments.
  7. It is not advisable to have SPA treatments if you have a cold, fever, or are feeling unwell.
  8. SPA is a space of relaxation and silence. Therefore, we kindly ask you not to carry mobile phones (or to set them to the ‘Flight Mode’) while you enjoy the SPA, not to make noise, and respect the rest of other guests.
  9. It is not advisable to have treatments on an empty stomach or immediately after a meal, and you should refrain from consumption of heavy foods for at least one hour before a treatment.
  10. Alcohol consumption and treatments are incompatible things. Refrain from consuming alcohol before and immediately after treatments.
  11. When taking any skin care treatments of the body, it is advisable not to shave on the day scheduled for the treatment, as the products used during the treatment may cause skin irritation.
  12. It is advisable to arrive for treatments without any makeup.
  13. If you wear contact lenses, be sure to notify the staff of it before any facial treatments.
  14. During treatments, you will be offered to wear disposable panties. You may choose to remain in your underwear if you wish so but please be advised that, in the course of certain treatments,it may be smeared with the cosmetic products used for the treatment.
  15. Floating is recommended not earlier than 3 days after hair dying. Fully unabsorbed or poor quality dye may be affected by the high salt concentration present in the floatation capsule.
  16. It is advisable you to take care of personal hygiene before arriving for a treatment. After staying on the beach, clean/wash any sand to avoid unwanted skin sensation during treatments.
  17. Let our specialist know if something (such as the room temperature, music, strength of the massage) makes you feel uncomfortable during the treatment, as we strive to ensure the impeccable performance of the treatment.
  18. Any booked beauty treatments at the spa may be cancelled free of charge if this is done at least 4 hours before the treatment. If you are late to cancel a booked beauty treatment, the cancellation fee amount is equal to the cost of the treatment.
  19. The administration has the right not to accept a client if the client is drunk and/or repeatedly violates the SPA etiquette.
  20. Following the treatment, do not rush, allow yourself to lie down for a few more minutes and enjoy yourself. However, keep in mind that another session may be scheduled following your treatment. You are welcome to relax and enjoy a cup of tea in the room designated specially for that purpose.
  21. We will be very glad to have your feedback about your sensations and the treatments. This will help us to provide even better service during your next visit.
